Travel insurance is a package policy which provides financial protection for unexpected events that affects your travel plans. Insurance for your travels is not compulsory, however, with this package policy, you can have peace of mind during your travels. You don’t have to worry about any travel inconvenience such as missing your connecting flight because of a flight delay.

These are the common covers/benefits covered by our insurance plans:

Some policies will provide more or less coverage than others, so it is best to read the terms and conditions to have a more detailed reading on the coverages provided.

These are the major exclusions for the travel plans:

  • Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or Human Deficiency Virus (HIV)

  • Any consequential loss or damage

  • War, act of foreign enemy, radioactivity, nuclear, chemical or biological materials

  • Pregnancy, childbirth, and miscarriage

  • Pre-existing medical conditions

  • Alcohol and drug abuse

  • Suicide and self-harm

Some policies have other exclusions aside from what has been mentioned above.

The best time to get insurance is when you make your first payment for your trip. When you buy insurance right after you have made your first payment, you will be able to get longer coverage in the event that you have to cancel your trip at any moment. You can even buy your insurance before you book for your trip. The earlier you book, the better the coverage.

These are the general age to apply:

  • Child: 30 days old to 17 years old

  • Adult: 18 to 75 years old

For adults, some travel policies allows age from 16 to 80 years old to apply for the policy.

Single trip travel plans are meant for individuals, and families that require coverage for a single holiday. Your holiday must not exceed 180 consecutive days to be entitled for a single trip travel plan.

Annual travel plans are meant for individuals, and families that travels frequently. Your holidays must not exceed 90 consecutive days to be entitled for an annual travel plan.

The travel coverage will begin after 24 hours of the payment made to the insurance company. Other travel coverage will begin once you have arrived at the airport.

When you are prevented from returning back home during your journey by an injury or illness covered under the policy, you are able to extend your insurance for up to 30 days from the expiry date of your insurance.

No, you can only make changes or upgrade when you are in Malaysia. You are not able to do this overseas.

You will not be able to buy travel insurance once you have started your journey, You must always purchase your travel insurance before starting your journey to be covered.

  • Contact your insurance company as soon as possible to inform them regarding the emergency

  • Complete the claims form provided by your insurance company

  • Submit the claims form and any relevant documents needed by mail, fax or email to your insurance company

  • Your insurance company will take approximately 3 to 10 working days to process your claim

  • After your claim has been process and approved, your reimbursement will take approximately 5 to 10 working day

The documents you will need to provide to make a claim are:

  • Personal identification documents

  • Completed claims form

  • Travel itinerary

  • Boarding passes

  • Baggage information

  • Relevant medical documents

  • Police report

  • Relevant airline notification

  • Relevant receipts and invoices

However, different types of claims require different documents. So be sure to check what type of documents are required for the type of claim you want to make.

If you wish to cancel your travel policy, you will have to give a 30-day written notice to the insurance company regarding your cancellation. For the single trip travel plan, you will not be entitled to any refund of premium once the policy is issued. Meanwhile, for the annual travel plan, you may be entitled to a certain amount of refund of premium.
