GHL Systems Berhad (GHL) and homegrown insurtech company, Senang, have extended their strategic partnership to provide Malaysians with easier access to the first-in-ASEAN micro-insurance coverage on non-conventional retail purchases. Delivered seamlessly via GHL’s smart terminals and SenangSikit’s digital insurance platform, your buying journey could now be enriched through peace-of-mind shopping.

The inclusion of Senang’s technology in GHL’s product offering will enable consumers to purchase the SenangSikit insurance (Insured by The Pacific Insurance Berhad) at any retail outlet’s payment counter, which uses GHL’s smart terminal.

What's covered in this article?

SenangSikit is a digital platform that offers offline-to-online insurance through GHL’s smart payment terminal…

… as opposed to insurance sold by traditional agents or online checkouts. It is available to consumers who make purchases at any store locally that uses the GHL POS terminals – accepting both cards and e-wallet payments.

For consumers, SenangSikit is a faster and simpler way of obtaining insurance coverage against accidental damages on their purchases - with just two clicks at the checkout. The insurance plan actually works like a product warranty, providing coverage to a huge variety of non-conventional retail products, ranging from electronic items to footwear, car accessories, fashion clothing, furniture and more. The plan is valid for up to a year from the date of purchase with a minimum of as low as RM2.50 a day.

Interested? You can now log on to SenangSikit to create an account and to enquire about the purchase, microinsurance policy wording, to register for the cover or make a claim.

However, do note that non-Malaysians will need to attach additional documents (e.g. permanent resident card/ work permit/ passport, etc. whichever is applicable.) in order to register for the cover and/or make a claim.
